This week Kate has a very special prompt for us: She wants to have a look at the inside of our kitchen cupboards to see our favourite mugs. We have recently chucked out a good 20 mugs because we just have too many of them. My firm favourites however, have survived. So here they are: my favourite mugs…
This pink beauty hid in my stocking on Christmas morning and now makes a regular appearance on my coffee table because I absolutely love its vibrant colour. It always manages to give me the well-needed kick after a very short night.
The Little Mermaid is one of my favourite Disney films, so I was absolutely delighted when I got this beautiful mug for my birthday last year. It always reminds me of me and my sister sitting in the bath tub, singing the song that Arielle sings when she loses her voice to Ursula. Legendary, I tell you!
And another Christmas present. This one I got from my landlord in 2008 – we had only lived together for about 3 months and didn’t know another each other that well but he hit the nail on the head with this one. Every girls loves it when Johnny says: “Nobody puts baby in the corner”!
Did I mention that I love cupcakes? *cough* Well, I do – so this mug fits perfectly into my little mug collection. It was a real bargain by the way. I got it for £1 at Poundland and it was even filled with marshmallows looking like cupcakes. Not half as delicious as the real deal though.
I absolutely love this cup because it’s so colourful and happy and of course, because it’s got the silhouette of London on it. I can’t remember the name of the company that sells it but I also have a cute little biscuit tin and a tea towel in the same design.
