This week Kate has a very special prompt for us: She wants to have a look at the inside of our kitchen cupboards to see our favourite mugs. We have recently chucked out a good 20 mugs because we just have too many of them. My firm favourites however, have survived. So here they are: my favourite mugs…
This pink beauty hid in my stocking on Christmas morning and now makes a regular appearance on my coffee table because I absolutely love its vibrant colour. It always manages to give me the well-needed kick after a very short night.
The Little Mermaid is one of my favourite Disney films, so I was absolutely delighted when I got this beautiful mug for my birthday last year. It always reminds me of me and my sister sitting in the bath tub, singing the song that Arielle sings when she loses her voice to Ursula. Legendary, I tell you!
And another Christmas present. This one I got from my landlord in 2008 – we had only lived together for about 3 months and didn’t know another each other that well but he hit the nail on the head with this one. Every girls loves it when Johnny says: “Nobody puts baby in the corner”!
Did I mention that I love cupcakes? *cough* Well, I do – so this mug fits perfectly into my little mug collection. It was a real bargain by the way. I got it for ยฃ1 at Poundland and it was even filled with marshmallows looking like cupcakes. Not half as delicious as the real deal though.
I absolutely love this cup because it’s so colourful and happy and of course, because it’s got the silhouette of London on it. I can’t remember the name of the company that sells it but I also have a cute little biscuit tin and a tea towel in the same design.
I love the pretty cupcake one, and to get it stuffed with sweeties as well?! Bonus! ๐
Although I would have preferred a cupcake over cupcake-shaped marshmallows ๐

I like the London one too and what fun that it has its own matching biscuit tin.
Yepp, unfortunately the biscuit tin is always empty. Don't know why *brushes crumbs off top* x
Oh I want that London one for hubby!
I better find out what the company is then, don't I? x
Theyare all gorgeous mugs Carolin! I love the cupcake and London ones and of source the Dirty Dancing one is very special ๐ x
I love the Dirty Dancing mug, although I find that Baby's face looks a bit funny lol x
What is the writing on the top one? It is a gorgeous colour!
It says "Life's short – eat cakes" x
Coughs and starts singing Ariel's song – Ah ah ah, ah ah ah ah ah, ah ah ah, ah ah ah ah ah, ah ah ahhhhhhhh. The Little Mermaid is the first Disney film I 'remember' seeing in the cinema. Love this mug.
Love the London one. I'm a sucker for patriot stuff (or would be buying more of it, if my OH would allow more in his words "junk" in the house)
I have plenty of mug since I love collecting them most of my collections are Personalized Glass Mug since I am into personalizing most of my stuffs, In order to use most of them I use different mugs daily and have my own favorites for special occasions.
