Just in time for Mother’s Day, I received this beautiful little gift set from online gift shop find-me-a-gift.com. It’s the MeMeMe Cosmetics’ Naturally Nude Set and features a blusher, a nail polish, two cream eye-shadows as well as a lipstick, all of which are presented in a lovely little cosmetic bag that makes the set a great present for a birthday or special occasion like Mother’s Day. As I wanted to tell you about the set in a little more detail, I put my wannabe-beauty-blogger hat on and took some close ups of the different products included. You can find out more about them and my opinion on all products, if you continue reading.
“Blush Me!” in coral looks super scary when you first open the Benefit-type packaging, but it is actually a really lovely and natural colour once you apply it to your cheeks. It blends brilliantly and stays put all day. I was really impressed with it, especially as it comes in at only £5.49, which is a fraction of what Benefit charge for a comparable product.
I’m usually more of a lip balm and lip gloss girl as too much colour frightens me, but this lipstick from MeMeMe is really beautiful and perfect for everyone who likes to create a natural and more subtle look. It comes in the shade China Rose, is super creamy and other than other lip products I have used before, it moisturises my lips instead of drying them out. Individually, it retails at £8.50.
This beautiful nail polish from MeMeMe’s Nail Collection is really as long lasting as it promises on the packaging. I wore it for 5 days before noticing any chips and that, in my eyes, is quite an impressive result. It fits in well with the overall nude/natural feel of the gift set and is a great choice, if you are after a reliable nude polish that only costs a fiver.
These two cream eye-shadows are just absolutely beautiful to look at. Willow Whisper is a silvery taupe/brown colour and coral blossom is a gorgeous light pink. Both of them have a nice consistency and are easy to blend in, if you use your fingers to apply them. I have tried applying them with a brush and unfortunately, I wasn’t successful. The brush literally ate all the pigmentation, so that there was close to no eye-shadow visible on my eye lids. For a quick application with your fingers they are great though. MeMeMe’s dew pots retail at £7.25 each.
