Almost every adult has a memory of a great birthday party that they went to as a kid. My own great birthday parties include a bouncy castle party, a party in the local kids pool complete with giant float we could all play on and a Pizza Hut party (I can’t remember the details of this one but in my memory it was a great day!). When talking to friends other great parties including a MacDonald’s party, fancy dress parties and face painting parties. I know of children today having make your own pizza at Pizza Express parties, Mad Hatter Tea Parties and football parties. It can be hard thinking of new kids birthday party ideas but sometimes it isn’t how different the idea is, more how well the idea is executed. Price has an influence as well on what sort of party you host, but it can be easy to have a great party on a smaller budget, it just involves good planning.
It is easy to have a great party at home on a budget. Remember all the classic party games such as pass the parcel, musical chairs, musical statues and pin the tail on the donkey – all of these games cost a minimal amount of money and a small amount of effort but kids will love to play them and win some small prizes.
A great idea for a party at home is face painting. It may sound expensive and complicated but forget about needing to bring in a professional, this is something any adult can do thanks to some great online kids face paint beginners guides on the online face painting shop Snazaroo. A one stop shop for all your face painting paint, equipment, guides and even printable party invites and thank you cards. You can learn how to paint butterflies, tigers, rabbits and even horror themed faces such as Zombies, monsters and witches.
A party with face painting, retro party games and plenty of cake and fizzy pop sounds to me like a good party and one that children would remember and hopefully recreate for their kids when they are older.
