Last week, we were kindly invited to Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park and yesterday we finally made the journey down to Southampton. It took us a little longer than planned, but luckily we made it just in time to find out all about the exciting Peppa Pig products that you can pay in Peppa’s Toy Store or exclusively online on the Peppa Pig World Website.
While the mums had a chance to catch up over some coffee and biscuits, the children could get an overview over the Peppa Pig range and try out toys, accessories and adorable little outfits such as the cuddly Dinosaur robe, which Amy absolutely loved.
Recently, Amy has really started to get into cuddly toys, so this adorable range of Peppa Pig characters is something that I will definitely keep in mind for Christmas. They all come in different outfits and sizes with prices ranging from £6.99 for the version pictured here up to £21.99 for the biggest size.
The kids’ highlight of the coffee morning was definitely meeting Suzie Sheep up close. The mascot visited us in the event’s room and had plenty of time for photos and cuddles with mummies and children – well, all children apart from Amy. She seems to have taken a dislike to mascots since she met a talking horse at Ascot last weekend.
After testing the entire range and doing some colouring in, the kids went down to George’s Spaceship, a brightly coloured soft play area with play opportunities for children of all age groups. There is plenty of space to climb, jump, discover musical instruments and of course to woosh down slides and Amy really enjoyed herself.
While the kids were getting rid of excessive energy in the soft play area, Peppa Pig World’s retail manager gave us a little overview of what to expect for the coming season and the latest developments within the Peppa Pig merchandise range. Think Peppa Pig for all the family, great quality and family-friendly prices. I will really have to get Ben a Daddy Pig t-shirt, don’t you think? After a little snack, we headed into the heart of Peppa Pig World and discovered the different attractions. You can visit Peppa Pig’s house, the library, Daddy Pig’s house and much much more, such as Mr Potato’s Playground and the Muddy Puddles water park.
Altogether, there are seven different rides at Peppa Pig World: The Windy Castle Ride, George’s Dinosaur Adventure, Daddy Pig’s Car Ride, Grandpa Pig’s Little Train, Grandpa Pig’s Boat Trip, Peppa Pig’s Big Balloon Ride and Miss Rabbit’s Helicopter Flight.
The first ride we queued for was Mrs Rabbit’s Helicopter flight and I have to really admire Amy for her patience. We queued for over an hour and she was good as gold. We distracted her by paying the penguins a visit and Ben and I took turns walking around the park with her while the other one waited in the queue, but wow, 75 minutes of waiting for a one minute ride was long. Amy’s smile was worth it though.
After our helicopter ride and some lunch, we took a stroll around the park and waved at some of Peppa’s friends who we met along the way. The park is laid out beautifully and sign posts help you to find the different attractions. There are also plenty of green areas for picnics or just a little break.
Traditional fair ground games provided entertainment in between rides and Amy especially loved the duck race and the pirate ship that you could attack with a water cannon – she kept going back to it to shoot the measly pirates. At the end of the day, (I will cover our adventure in Paultons Park in a separate post) we went back to Peppa’s Toy Store. Amy had been such a good girl all day that she definitely deserved a treat and of course she had to examine every single item in the toy shop to make up her mind.
There were clothes, accessories, books, toys and lots of other exciting items from the exclusive Peppa Pig Range available in store, but despite Amy absolutely loving this baseball cap, we went home with a big Peppa Pig cuddly toy to keep her Muddy Puddle Peppa company. She still looks super cute, don’t you think? I might have to have a little snoop in the online store before Christmas as there will be some real gems coming up.
If you want to experience Peppa Pig World first hand, then it’s your lucky day. I have one family ticket for 2 adults and 2 children to give away.
