The New Year is the perfect opportunity to bring colour into your home. Christmas decorations go down and spring is only a couple of weeks away, so why not boost your mood a little in advance and get yourself some new colourful accessories?
I have found some fabulous pieces over on the Cult Furniture website and I thought I’d share them with you – hey, I might even inspire you to go wild in your own four walls!
First up this cool Retro Square Calendar Flip Clock that shows you time, date and weekday. It’s available in yellow and orange and it just reminds me of the big offices of American magazines and newspapers that you see in movies all the time. I’d love one in my own little home office and feel like the winner of the next Pulitzer Prize. A girl can dream, right?
This Orange Wave Magazine Rack would be perfect for all my monthly magazines. I am a magazine junkie you must know and this would be a great way of storing them in a stylish and colourful way.
Another fabulous way to bring colour into your home would be through posters or prints. I particularly like this Classic Chairs Alphabet that would make any boring wall pop. It comes with a classic black wooden frame and is perfect for design lovers who like it a little understated.
Next up is an item that is anything but understated. Bold, bright and full of little wool balls is this loud and proud Pom Pom Rug. It’s not cheap and I don’t know where I would put it, but I absolutely love it because it just screams ‘fun and happiness’, don’t you think?
A little more subtle is this adorable little Trophy Head – not of the Safari kind, but made from wood and painted in a gorgeous red. It looks really quirky and is the only type of trophy head I would ever put on my wall. You can get a selection of animals (bear, rhino, deer etc) and choose between different colours – perfect, if you want to start a little collection or want some variety. I really love these and think they’d look great in many rooms of the house.
Now what do you think about my little selection? Too bright? Too bold or something you’d consider for your home? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
