Klorane Nettle Shampoo – a review

klorane nettle shampoo review

Klorane Nettle Shampoo might be the shampoo you’ve waited for all your life, if like me, you are prone to oily hair. It’s gentle, deeply cleansing and its nettle content reduces and regulates the production of natural oils that let your hair appear greasy and limp.

I’ve got a lot of hair and the humid weather in the South West is something that my body still hasn’t got used to after five years in Bristol, so oiliness is something that I’ve been struggling with for a couple of years now. Regular hair washes and dry shampoo have seemed to be the only solution to my oily hair so far, so when I was sent the Klorane Nettle Shampoo by beauty website Escentual, I prayed to the hair gods that this might be the holy grail, the solution to my hair problems and let me tell you: it really is – in combination with a nourishing hair mask once a week!

The Klorane Nettle Shampoo has quite a herbal smell and it takes a little more shampoo than usual to lather your hair, but it really helps to control my hair’s oil production and enables me to wash my hair less frequently. I have found that while being mild and having hypo-allergenic properties (always a plus point), the Klorane Nettle Shampoo can be quite drying at times, but a nourishing hair mask once a week balances this out nicely and adds some healthy shine to your hair.

The shampoo leaves your hair soft and clean, allows you to go longer between hair washes and even gives your hair more bounce, so if you can overlook the fact that your hair might get a little dry and you might need to use a mask every now and again, the Klorane Nettle Shampoo is definitely an option worth looking into. At £4.50 for 200ml, it is a little more expensive than an ordinary bottle of shampoo, but if your oily hair makes you really unhappy, this is money well spent.

Disclosure: I was sent a bottle of Klorane Nettle Shampoo for the purpose of this review.

I have used this before and loved it, but I think at some point my hair got used to it and started becoming oilier again.
