I’m a massive Disney fan, ( I mean who in their right mind isn’t?), so when I came across this Disney tag over on Confessions of a Nagging Mother, I thought it would be fun to join in and answer a couple of questions. Before we get started though, I would like to tag Jenny from Mummy Mishaps, Andrea from All You Need Is Love and Cake and Laura from Tired Mummy of Two.
Favourite Disney Film: I’m undecided ( I know that’s a great start for a tag, right?) but it’s either The Little Mermaid or The Beauty and the Beast. They’re are the two films that I never get bored off.
Favourite Disney Character: I love Abu or Olaf because they’re so funny and have such a big heart, but talking about a big heart, it could also be Genie because he’s the loveliest guy ever. You see, I’m not very good at making a decision!
Favourite Disney Princess: I always thought my all-time favourite was Belle because she loves books just as much as I do and because she was always true to herself without worrying what the people in her village thought about it, but thinking about it, it’s a close call between Ariel and Rapunzel. They’re both curious young women who want more than the safety of their every day life. They take risks and explore life beyond what they know to find themselves and happiness.
Favourite Disney Sidekick: Olaf, his humour cracks me up. He’s just too funny not to pick him.
Favourite Disney Song: Unsere Stadt, the German version of Belle (Little Town). The English version sucks compared to the German one, but I also love Colours of the Wind (Pocahontas), Part of this World (The Little Mermaid) or I See The Light (Tangled). In fact, there aren’t many Disney songs that I don’t like.
Which Disney Character would be your best friend? Flounder, because he’s always there for Ariel despite being scared of everything outside of Atlantica and supporting her in everything she does.
Who would be your Disney pet? Abu, he’d be great fun but he’d probably trash the entire place in one afternoon.
Have you ever been to Disneyland? No, but I’m thinking of taking Amy at some point next year. I can’t even tell you who’d love it more, but I’m super excited about going on this adventure with her. You’re never too old for Disney!
Who is your Disney alter ego? I had no idea, but my sister says I’m a mix of Sebastian from The Little Mermaid and Timon from The Lion King and here’s why: “You love music, you’re clever and a good friend like Sebastian, but you’re not a scaredy-cat like him. You storm ahead like Timon, sometimes without thinking, you take risks and have an opinion on everything and everyone and most of all, you’re really laid back.”
Who is your favourite Disney villain? I love Maleficent because she’s such a complex character. There’s so much more to her than the evil fairy that you get at first glance. Underneath her cold outer appearance, she’s loving, lonely and hurt.
Do you collect anything Disney? Nope, I’m not really into collectibles. There’s too much dusting involved in the whole affair!
Which Disney film would you star in, if you could? Easy, Pirates of the Caribbean because I could snog both Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp.
How old were you when you watched your first Disney movie? I can’t possibly tell you. Probably 6 or so. I grew up in East Germany and we didn’t have Disney before the German wall came down.
What do you love about Disney? The emotions, the love, the hope and the music. It’s just magical!
Who is your favourite Disney couple? Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. He’s totally what I’d go for in a man, so let’s hope they live happily ever after. He’s got a great sense of humour, he’s witty, handsome and at the end of the movie, he’d even die for her.

great post, I love Disney! Beauty and the Beast is my favourite
I love Beauty and the beast and my hubby loves Pocohontas
We never really watched films in our house when i was little so i’m finally getting to watch all the classics now with my little babies. Luckily my husband has copies of most of them. Snow White and the seven dwarves is a particular favourite, to the point where we’ve built a dwarf mine in the back garden!!!!
Big fan of Disney, I visited Disneyland Paris its fabulous
Great post feel I know you SO much better!
Haha is that because of my favourites or my sister’s choices? 😀
I can’t wait for Christmas when there’ll be loads of Disney films on – my little boy will be nearly 4 by then and will really appreciate them.
I couldn’t give a definitive answer to any of those questions apart from having been to Disneyland, I’ve been to Disneyworld, so I’m assuming that counts! I have to agree that being in The Pirates of the Caribbean could be quite fun though, Johnny Depp……………..
I love both Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast too.
I’ve never seen Beauty & the Beast (My boys are older and didn’t want to watch when they were younger) but looks like it is one that I should see. My first Disney seen was Mary Poppins in the 60’s – yes I’m that old 😉
I’ve been to DisneyLand Paris and DisneyWorld and would go back in a heartbeat!
My favorite one is Alice in Wonderland
