I don’t know what it is at the moment, but everyone around me seems to be having babies or be pregnant and it’s making me so broody it’s not even normal. Being pregnant and preparing for the arrival of your baby is such an exciting time and I can’t believe that it’s been five years since I was pregnant with Amy. How did that time even pass so quickly?
I swear it was only last week that my little milk monster kept me up all night and I was swooning over cute baby outfits, nursery furniture and bedding for the cot and I kind of miss all the excitement of preparing for my new arrival. That doesn’t stop me from checking out the latest nursery trends for any future babies or friends’ babies though. Here are some of my current favourites from House of Fraser. I’ve tried something a little bit different today to make shopping around and checking things out a little easier for you, so if you want to find out more about a certain item on he picture below, simply click on it and you should be redirected to the product page over on the House of Fraser website where you can directly order the product or read some product reviews and learn more about the product.
If you are expecting a new family or you just want to treat yourself, today’s your lucky day. I’ve teamed up with the lovely people from House of Fraser to give you the chance to win a £30 gift card to spend on whatever you want.
To enter the competition, all you have to do is complete the Rafflecopter widget below following the instructions provided. It really is that easy! Please note that incorrect or false entries won’t be counted or entered into the competition. Good luck!
A moses basket for the first few months so we could keep my baby beside our bed. I also believe that a baby feel more secure in a moses basket than a large cot (just my opinion though!)
We got grobags for our grandson as he was always kicking blankets of in the night , there great and keep him warm
I couldn’t have done without a baby bouncer chair, so useful to put baby in so they can see whats going on around them, a changing mat is also another essential item x
I’d get gift vouchers for a new parent – having no children of my own means I have no idea what would be most useful for someone with a new baby, plus they have probably already bought a lot of stuff themselves so best to let them choose something they need :o)
My go to baby gift is Aden + Anais Swaddle Blankets.
My Go To Gift For New Parents Is A Cuddly Teddy Bear 🙂
One of my must haves for a winter baby is a snot sucker (sounds gross I know), especially helpful if they are a thumbsucker as they can’t suck their thumb and breathe through their nose if it’s blocked up.
Nice x
My go-to gift for new mums is always babygrows and bibs as you can never run out of them!
My first buy for both my children was a moses basket with a warm blanket.

plenty of bibs
Plenty baby wipes was always a must for me! running out scared me so much lol
I bought my brother and sister in law some muslin cloths. They didn’t understand why until our mum said babies will throw up when they want and catch them off guard. It’s a safety shield for your clothes really! lol
My wife’s a keen knitter and can rustle up a baby cardigan in a couple of days. Failing that, a romper suit always seem to be well received!

I like to give a giftcard to somewhere like Mothercare, Argos or Mama’s and Papa’s so they can choose whatever they are most in need of themselves.
I always get some pampering treats for the MUM – after all she’s just brought a new life into the world, she deserves something special!

a nappy tower thingy!
Envelope vests keep, so easy to put on and off
comforter
My go to gift is always a hamper full of bits for mum and baby.
A dummy! It always used to soothe my twins and helped them go to sleep. I ignored people who said they shouldn’t have one because my daughters would scream blue murder if they lost them.
The most useful thing when our son was born was the carry cot which went on to the pram wheels. He slept in it downstairs during the day and we just carried it up with him in it at night if he had already fallen asleep and set it into the big cot that was in our bedroom beside the bed.
I always get new parents bundles of 3-6/6-9m clothes. They always seem to be drowning in newborn size as that’s what most people buy, so I buy them the next few sizes up so that they have a bit of a stash ready

I bought a tumble drier just before my first baby was born, never having owned one previously. It was absolutely vital after the baby arrived. Without it on rainy days I would have had wet washing hung over every radiator.
I don’t have any children but my go to gift is always a teddy, can’t go wrong with a soft toy!
I was given a large swaddling cloth and wondered why. I soon found out how wonderful it was and invested in more.
I like to give practical things that parents will actually use: nappies, muslin squares or supermarket giftcards!
My go-to gift for new parents is always a bunch of clothes in bigger sizes as everyone seems to buy them tonnes of cute baby stuff but nothing for bigger kids so I usually get some 9-12 and 12-18 month things for them.
