Like many mums I can’t wait for the time when the cold and wintry weather finally goes away so that we can all enjoy getting out and about and enjoy some great family events.
I’ve been doing a bit of research online and have found some interesting days out where kids will be specially catered for, and where adults can enjoy all of the benefits of betting sites that cover some family-friendly sporting events.
Although we’re just coming into spring, the weather is still looking unsettled, so in order to combat any symptoms of cabin fever, I’ve been thinking about taking the family on a day trip to Eureka. This is a special children’s museum in West Yorkshire that allows the little ones to let off steam whilst learning all about the wonders of science and music. Plus it also has one of the largest sandpits in the UK, and its Destination Space events allow kids to experience the fun of a space travel simulation!
But if the kids really need to let off steam, there’s nothing like a bit of sporting fun. And the upcoming London Mini Marathon should allow older kids to enjoy competing in this enjoyable sporting event. However, smaller children may be best suited to developing their swimming skills at indoor water parks such as Waterworld in Staffordshire that should provide some respite from the gloomy weather.
Springtime is one of the best times of the year to check out some big horse racing events too. The Grand National takes place on 9 April in Liverpool, and it’s all been made a lot easier as Betway is one of the few betting sites that use PayPal, and children under 16 can get into the Steeplechase Enclosure for free so that you can save your money to back a winner!
And whilst the Grand National might be one of the nation’s biggest traditional sporting pleasures, when it comes to children’s entertainment, there can’t be many better options than The Clangers, Bagpuss.

Fab round-up. We love Eureka!
