Can you believe that the first week of January is almost over? I’ve shared my 2016 highlights and 3 things that I’m looking forward to in 2017. For some reason, though, I still haven’t managed to write down some resolutions. Do you think that means I shouldn’t bother and that I’m destined to fail?
Anyway, one of them is to inject some more personality in my blog. I’ve been blogging almost six years this month but I feel that people don’t really know much about me as a person. And because I want to change that, I thought it would be a great idea to join in with Little Loves. I mean a person’s Netflix and music choices tell you a lot about them, right? But let’s not ramble on and dive straight into this week’s post:
Usually, I read about three books a week. Sometimes more. But has I was on a Netflix binge, I haven’t even touched my Kindle this week. I’ve loved reading blog posts like Kerry’s bucket list for 2017, though. She’s inspired me to sit down and write my very own. I’ll share it later this week.
I usually don’t watch that much TV or Netflix even but this week, I was still in holiday mode. For that reason, I’ve watched one cheesy holiday movie after another. I watched ‘How Sarah got her wings’ – hello, Derek Theler. There might have also been a movie called ‘Rodeo & Juliet’ – don’t even ask!
I have been absolutely obsessed with Sia’s album ‘This is Acting’ fo a good couple of weeks now. She’s got such a unique voice and I love singing along to her music. My favourite song at the moment is ‘The Greatest’. I think it’s just the perfect song to start a new year with. I love how positive it is and I bet my neighbours know it by heart too by now.
I’ve made four YouTube videos this week and I think I’m really getting into this whole YouTube thing. At the beginning, I felt a little awkward in front of the camera. Once Aby and Amy got me singing in their Christmas vlogstars challenge, though, I lost all inhibitions, haha. If you want to check them out, I’ll include my favourite below:
We’ve had a lazy week before Amy is back at kindergarten next week and that’s why I’m openly admitting that we’ve basically lived in pyjamas and tracksuit bottoms. Let’s make a deal, though. You won’t judge me I’ll spare you a picture of my in my PJs. Instead, I’ll show you one of Amy because she looks super cute in her little unicorn pyjamas from Marks & Spencer.
I hope that you’ve all had an amazing start into the New Year. Make it a good one. Laugh a lot, love deeply and make time for yourself and your loved ones. Push your boundaries, experience new things and make 2017 your year.
