It’s a 15-minute procedure under general anaesthetic and it’s quite common with young children but if we can avoid it, I’d be over the moon. While I don’t have a problem with getting surgery myself, it’s entirely different to see your child being wheeled into the theatre.
Amy has been really brave about it all. She’s adapted to her ear drop and nose spray routine and she’s not complaining about the red light or nebuliser either. I’m really really proud of her because I know that I would have been moaning about it all. She just takes it in her stride and gets on with it. She even asked me to take a pic of her using the nose spray, so she could show my sister what a good girl she was being…
Ahh what a little cutie, that is so often for the ear drops, I hope they do the job really well. Mich x
ooh i agree watching your little one go under isnt pleasant but the waiting a pre stuff is always worse than the actual op and post op stuff.
Oh bless her, what a brave little girl. Really hoping it all works so surgery can be avoided, but if not, I’m sure she’ll face it bravely xx
Oh wow what an ordeal. I hope it works – fingers crossed for the appointment today. She really is being so, so brave! x
Thank you, I don’t think her hearing as improved through it all, so I’m mentally preparing myself for surgery. I guess we’ll just have to see what happens and make the best out of it x
