A couple of weeks ago, the lovely people from Blacks sent me an email to ask, if Amy would like to receive a jacket from the new and exclusive Berghaus kids range. As we’re big Berghaus fans in this house and my sister and I basically grew up in Berghaus clothing (our parents are big fans of the great outdoors and hiking), I instantly agreed.
Berghaus clothing for kids
Amy chose the Ancroft parka from the range of girls Berghaus coats and fell in love with it as soon as she opened the package. It might have to do with the super fluffy faux fur trim (that’s easy to detach and attach with handy poppers) and the extra soft hood lining and the generous amount of pockets. Little girls have plenty of treasures to collect and carry around if you must know. I regularly find them in my washing machine!
Berghaus Ancroft Parka for girls
What I really like about the coat is probably less exciting for kids but very important for parents who want to make sure that their kids are nice and warm while they’re discovering the big wide world outside and that is water and wind protection. The Berghaus Ancroft parka for girls is made from fully waterproof AQ2™ fabric which makes it the perfect coat for outdoor adventures – no matter if you’re facing a light drizzle or a downpour of epic proportions.
The really great thing about the coat is that it’s an absolute lightweight. While it features synthetic insulation and a quilted exterior, it’s super comfortable to wear and not heavy or bulky at all – something that Amy definitely appreciates when running or jumping around.
If you like the look of the Berghaus Ancroft Parka, I would suggest going a size up when ordering it. Amy is 6 next month and of an average build, I would say. She is, however, wearing a size 7/8 years in the pics below and I think it’s the perfect fit for her. The coat retails at £80 but is currently on offer for £65, a fab price for a quality piece of clothing.
The Berghaus Ancroft Parka at Warnemünde Beach
To show you that the coat is the perfect addition to your kids’ wardrobe, we’ve taken some pics at Warnemünde Beach this weekend. The weather might look lovely, but here at the Baltic Sea, it’s still pretty cold. We’ve had around 2 degrees Celsius when the sun came out, just so you’ve got a reference. Add in the wind near the sea and you see that this lightweight of a coat is the perfect companion for your outdoor adventures…
What do you think? It looks pretty cosy, doesn’t it?
We’ve received the Berghaus Ancroft Parka for the purpose of the review. All opinions, text and images are our own.
