I’ve seen the Baby Name Tag do its rounds over on YouTube and as someone who’s been obsessed with baby names since forever, I thought I’ve got to join in myself and share my 2 pence on names I like, don’t like and all the other categories.
The Baby Name Tag
You know, when we were younger, my sister and I had this little book of baby names ( I think my parents used it when deciding on a name for my sister) and we absolutely loved looking up names and finding out about their origin and meaning. We literally spent hours on end going through it – laughing about ridiculous names we’d never use or carefully scribbling the baby name of our choice on a piece of paper. Over the years, we’ve compiled lists and lists of names and when I stayed over at my sister’s house the other week, I found the book on her bookshelf (she must have totally knicked it from my parents’ house) and went through it, looking at our old Post-It notes with names we liked.
How someone can spoil a baby name for me
Some have stayed the same, some would be an absolute no-go for me now. I don’t know about you, but for me, even the most beautiful baby name can become a no-no, if I associate it with someone I can’t stand. Of course, a name doesn’t really come with a certain character attached to it but sometimes I just can’t shake the negative feeling I get when hearing the name of someone who I don’t like – no matter how much I’ve liked their name before meeting them.
If you fancy having a go and joining in, make sure to click through to my YouTube channel where you’ll find all the questions in the description box.
I’d love to hear your favourite baby name – or names if you’re like me and just can’t decide on only one name, so make sure to leave me a comment below or underneath the video.
