My dad loves shopping and he loves wearing nice clothes, so when I was asked to put a post together with Father’s Day outfits for him, I thought: Well, he could probably do a much better job than me. I mean, the man has more shoes than my mum and me combined (my sister is a whole different league) and he doesn’t really wear anything outrageous that makes me want to gouge my eyes out. So I thought, why not give you some ideas for Father’s Day outfits for your dads, husbands or boyfriends.
Father’s Day outfits: The Casual One
I don’t know how you celebrate Father’s Day in your family but we usually go on a day out with all the family and have a nice lunch in a restaurant. It’s nothing too fancy, so with a check shirt, a nice pair of jeans and a comfy pair of boat shoes or loafers, the most important man of the day looks well dressed and has the perfect casual outfit for a family day out.
Father’s Day outfits: The Elegant One
If the dad in your life is the more distinguished and elegant type, a nice blazer teamed with a well-made pair of jeans or chinos and a button down might be just the right outfit for him. The look is perfect for a trip to an art gallery or museum or dinner at a fancy restaurant. If your dad is used to business attire, he could even swap the chinos for a more formal pair of trousers and matching footwear.
Father’s Day outfits: The Sporty One
On the other end of the spectrum, we’ve got the sporty dad. He volunteers at your little boy’s football team and lives in a comfy hoody and shorts. And hey, there’s nothing wrong with that. Find him a nice polo shirt from Jacamo or a fun slogan T-shirt that he can pair with some comfy shorts/jeans and he’s good to go. Oh, don’t forget a cool pair of trainers or sneakers.
What sort of Father’s Day outfit would your dad or husband/partner like best?
