Hallmark, the UK’s leading greeting card company, is making story times all the more magical with its new range of interactive Story Buddies. The range features three cheeky characters; the inquisitive Racoon Watson, Cooper the playful Bear and the festive favourite Jingle the Husky (a limited edition for Christmas).
Each soft and cuddly Story budding comes with its own story book and uses an innovative playback technology that prompts the toy to speak and join in once the trigger passages are read aloud. With each new page a new response is revealed, bringing both the character and its stories to life. This special reading experience will hold the attention of every little fidget and makes reading together an entertaining and educational pastime that will allow the whole family to share magical moments with another.
What’s great is that the Story Buddy costs just £19.99, which makes it an adorable Christmas gift but an affordable one too ; providing magical moments the whole family will enjoy. For those wanting to broaden their reading even further, both Cooper and Watson toys can also be used with their very own selection of additional adventure books for children to collect.
Story Buddies are available from October 2011 in Hallmark Gold Crown stores and on www.Hallmark.co.uk. The additional books for both Watson and Cooper will also be available from the same outlets priced at £5.99 each. If you are an Apple user, then Hallmark has another treat in store for you. The greeting card company has also developed a free downloadable app suitable for use on iPhones and iPads, to accompany the Story Buddy range. The app includes a short animated story about each character, as well as puzzles and games to enjoy. Each story can be played aloud through the app’s internal narrator or recorded by a loved one to add a personal touch to the tale.
Mummy Alarm has teamed up with Hallmark and offers one lucky reader the chance to win Jingle the Husky (limited edition) just in time for Christmas!
