I love reading and although I don’t have much time to read many books myself these days (somehow I always end up on Twitter), I make sure that I read a lot to Amy. She’s got her own little book collection but I am a sucker for book shops, so I always end up spending heaps of money on cute little picture books for her.
Reading Chest, a through-the-post book rental service for children that works in a similar way to DVD rental services sends you books straight through the letter box. Simply pay a monthly membership fee and books tailored to your child’s individual requirements will be delivered direct to your door, complete with a pre-paid return envelope. The Reading Chest book rental scheme is not only easy on the wallet (no more forking out for endless books that are only read a couple of times before being left to gather dust on the bookshelf!), it’s also an environmentally-friendly alternative to buying brand new books.
I have teamed up with Reading Chest and we are offering one reader of Mummy Alarm the chance to win a Reading Chest Gold subscription for an entire year, worth over £190.
To be in with a chance of winning, simply fill in the Rafflecopter below and make sure you fullfil all mandatory entries. Otherwise your entry won’t be counted and you will miss out.

At the moment it's Winnie the Pooh and the trouble with bees. There's something about the rhythm of the words that she seems to find interesting and of course she loves touching the protruding bees.
I loved reading Lynly Dodds' Hairy Maclary stories to my children, the pictures are magnificent, the chararacters are memorable, and the storylines are invariably something children and adults can relate to.From my own childhood, I would have to say Ping – the Yellow Duck on the Yangzhee River, I'm not sure of the author, but I always loved that one – especially when Ping got spanked for being last on the boat – very politically incorrect nowadays I'm sure!
