After seeing everyone in the UK enjoy heaps of snow over the past weeks, Amy and I couldn’t wait for it to start snowing over here in Germany and this week it finally did. Amy was so excited when she woke up in the morning and everything was covered in snow that she immediately started singing “Let It Go” from Frozen while parading up and down the hallway like Queen Elsa herself.
Anyway, after a long breakfast with my mum, we decided that we should build Amy’s very first snowman. So we walked around the house and collected some buttons, hunted down an old scarf and raided the fridge for a carrot only to find that we’d finished them all the weekend before. No problem for us though! We threw on our boots and ski clothes and made our way to the local supermarket where we stocked up on carrots and Kinder eggs as a treat for after before trudging through the snow back to my parents house.
Now, our snowman isn’t exactly Olaf, but Amy was super pleased with it. She loved adding all the special touches such as the buttons and the scarf but her energy when popping in the carrot to give Mr Snowman a nose cost him his head, so excuse, if he looks a little deranged after my attempts to fix him!
I hope you are all enjoying winter with lots of outdoor fun. We’re really loving our winter walks and the cold fresh air at the moment.
PS: Please, excuse the quality of the photos, but I only had my mobile phone to hand as I didn’t want to drag my DSLR out in the snow.
Wow, you’ve definitely had a better covering of snow than me. We barely had enough to make a snowball let alone a snowman. It’s great that you got to get out and have some snow fun though, and Amy looks so pleased with your snow creation. Thanks for linking up with Country Kids.
Aww I like your snowman, there is something in his buttons… super cute. 🙂 I think your photos are fab, even though they are taken on the phone… my phone produces pure rubbish, pixelated photos. #countrykids
The view is stunning! I wish we can have snow soon! But seeing the news its not coming our way sadly.
A happy face like this is the reason why I want snow. I just want my son to experience how fun it is to play in snow. Thanks for sharing this. #countrykids
