The Honor Design Competition 2015 by mobile phone brand Huawei has launched and is inviting budding artists and designers from the United Kingdom the chance to come up with their very own user interface icons, wallpapers and back covers all in the theme of “#ForTheBrave”.
Think new, bold and outside the box and your designs could not only be implemented into Honor’s devices present and future, but also win you fabulous prizes like £3000 in cash, the latest Honor smartphones as well as accessories packs and more. To get started, simply pop over to the official competition website linked above and download the briefing and projects files.
Getting involved is super easy: Simply create a screen lock and 24 application icons, send them off and let the judges decide. Huawei are looking for an excellent design that fits the #ForTheBrave theme and uses vivid visual effects and let me tell you, their phones deserve exactly that.
I’ve been using the Honor 6 for the last couple of weeks and it can easily compete with the big names of the industry. The good news is: it costs half the price! Its super fast thanks to its custom octa-core CPU and LTE connectivity, its sleek design reminds of the most successful mobile phone of all times and its camera is really decent considering the price tag.
If you are interested in finding out more about the phone, pop back in a couple of days as you’ll be able to read my full review of the Honor 6 then. Until then, take care and get creative!
What is it you look for when it comes to the design of a mobile phone?
I’m an Honor 6 brand ambassador and have received an Honor 6 free of charge.
Ooo I love creative opportunities like this! *dons thinking cap*
I do like designs that aren’t afraid to be different from the norm 🙂
How amazing for the person who creates the new design, whenever they see someone with a Honor 6 they can say ‘I designed that!’
it looks like an iPhone 6 to me. such a fine chance though x
What a fab competition for those with a good eye for design!
Ooh, what a great opportunity for a designer. I’m looking forward to reading your full review of the phone – I hadn’t heard of them before, but anything that challenges the great monopoly of the iPhone is good with me!
What a fabulous opportunity!
What an amazing opportunity for someone! I’ll have to have a think what I would really like to be different on my phone
