The wake-up call is the worst. You feel the fear from the moment you open your eyes. Why? Because you know that, in a minute, you’ll have to lurch to the bathroom and catch a glance of yourself in the mirror. And what will you find? Baggy eyes, pimples the size of craters, skin like an arid desert and hair resembling a primate – this is not the finest start to your morning, I’ve been there.
But you don’t have to hide in your bed from the big bad mirror. With a healthy diet, some magical lotions and a fantastic fitness regime, that mirror will soon be your very best friend. To help you get there, I’ve come up with a few ace beauty tips to help you face those mornings with ease.
Rub fat away
Eating your greens can do plenty to diminish your face fat – but what about when that double chin refuses to shift? Indeed, while some people say once on the lips is a lifetime on the hips, it’s your chin you should really be worrying about. And although there are a thousand-and-one articles on the how to get rid of double chin, there are only a few sure-fire methods. Find a cream that’ll make your face tauter, reducing the severity of your double chin and, after a few applications, seeing it disappear completely.
Your 15 a day
Trying to exercise when you can’t be bothered can feel like trying to move your limbs while trapped under a chandelier. But fitness doesn’t have to mean Full Metal Jacket style drill exercises.
In fact, all you really need is 15 minutes in your day to stay feeling fresh and fit. Work on every one of your quadrants rigorously and they’ll be increasingly more toned. If that still seems like too much effort, stick on a few of your favourite songs to take your mind off the initial strains. After a few workouts, you’ll feel compelled to add an extra five minutes, and then five more. Soon, you’ll have a full regime to beat The Rock’s.
Beauty – it comes with sleep
They don’t call it beauty sleep for nothing. Scientists have found that those people lacking their 40 winks are deemed less attractive by the opposite sex. In our hurry scurry lives, it’s inevitable that we’re sometimes lacking in sleep. But do it too often and you’ll soon feel groggier than a pirate downing a barrel of ale. Try for an average of between eight and 10 hours of sleep a night. And if you can’t drift off, read a good book. Soon, you’ll have perfected your schedule of kip – and be looking all the better for it.
