It might be cold outside but that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun with the kids in winter. Whether you head out to the local park on your sleds or stay inside where it’s nice and cosy (we wouldn’t blame you), take a look at our list of things to do with the kids this winter.
Snowball fight!
Baby, it’s cold outside. So get out there and have some fun. If you’re lucky enough to have some snowfall this winter, head to the local park or your back garden for a good old-fashioned snowball fight. The kids will love it and you will too. Best of all, it’s free.
Do some festive arts and crafts
If you don’t fancy braving the brr, get some basic arts and crafts supplies and have yourself a fun afternoon making things for the festive season – all wrapped up warm and snug.
Here’s one we like: Christmas stocking
You’ll need:
- Clean sock
- Fabric glue
- Something decorative like stars or snowflakes or anything else you like
Instructions:
- Cut the decorations to your liking and glue them onto the sock using the fabric glue
- When it’s dried, attach the stocking to your Christmas tree. Fill with sweets and treats
Go skating
If your children are the right age for a spot of urban skating, why not head along to Better Extreme, London’s largest indoor skatepark? Reasonably priced and the perfect place to practice tricks and jumps safely, Extreme is ideal for anyone, be they first-timers or seasoned pros. Book a session today for a wonderful winter event.
And if ice skating’s more your thing, why not strap on some skates and head out – we have 3 ice rinks – in Streatham and Islington in London and in Swindon.
Winter wonderland
Why not turn your house into a yuletide winter retreat? Get hold of some:
- Canned snow
- Icicle lights
- Winter decorations
And transform your home into a winter wonderland. Get in some food and drink, dress-up costumes and have a blast.
