I’m off to a photography course in Hamburg tomorrow, so I’ve done a bit of prep-work by browsing in an ancient copy of Molly Makes ‘Photography’ that I still had lying around the house. Another book that got me in the mood for the course was the ‘A Beautiful Mess Photo Idea Book‘ from Elsie Larson and her sister Emma Chapman. It came out a couple of years ago and I don’t think I know any bloggers who don’t own it, but it’s one of my all-time favourites for colourful photo ideas.
I haven’t watched very much TV this past week. Germany’s ‘I’m a Celebrity’ is over now and I don’t have any favourites I need to catch up on. There is, however, always some trash TV to watch, right? This week’s entertainment was provided by the ‘Bachelor’. Admittedly, he’s got a nice smile and amazing teeth but nothing on this planet could convince me to degrade myself like some of those women on the show. It’s quite shocking but I can’t stop myself from watching it and joining the gossip on Twitter. Oops!
It’s been a mix of absolutely everything on my Spotify playlist this week. There’s been Nirvana, Miley Cyrus, Bonnie Taylor, S Club 7 or the Trolls Soundtrack with some Italian music thrown in. There really wasn’t a theme to it and I listened to whatever I felt like whenever I tuned in. And yes, I know I probably have the most atrocious music taste ever.
Once again, I didn’t really have the time for any craft projects or elaborate baking. I did make a mean gnocchi bake yesterday, though, and I’ll think I’ll make it again so I can turn it into a recipe post for the blog. It was super quick and easy and Amy loved it. Other than that, I’ve filmed another video for my YouTube: my January Favourites. Tada!
My Nan knitted the most amazing snowflake jumper for Amy and I love absolutely everything about it. The colours, the style and that Amy has another piece of clothing that her 82-year-old great-grandma has made especially for her. I know chunky knitted jumpers aren’t everyone’s style but I love having them in winter. They’re so cosy and I love knowing that someone has taken the time to make something completely unique for me – or Amy for that matter.
Thanks so much to everyone who’s been asking how Amy is doing over here or on social media. I’m glad to let you all know that she’s back in kindergarten and feeling really well. She’s still on some medication but her hearing had improved tremendously when we went for our last check-up and she’s so much happier in herself. I guess two weeks at home were just too boring and she got cabin fever but she’s back to her happy self now and everything’s fine.
