After sharing my 2016 highlights with you yesterday, I thought I’d write a blog post about a couple things I’m looking forward to in 2017. This post is not about resolutions, though. You will find them in my New Year’s Resolutions video for Vlogstars that will go up on Sunday.
Today, I just want to share some of my plans for the coming 12 months. Things that make me look forward to 2017 in a really short overview:
Visiting Iceland
No, not the frozen food store - the actual flipping country. My sister and I have booked a trip for the end of March and I am so stupidly excited, it’s unreal! We found a fab offer for a 5 day stay in autumn and just had to book it. Iceland is a country that’s been on my travel wishlist forever and I can’t wait to explore. We’ll stay in Reykjavik and have planned a couple of day trips for our stay. We’ll go to the Blue Lagoon, hunt for Northern Lights and visit the Golden Circle. We might even book a whale watching tour. I can’t wait to go and I’ll make to share everything with you once I’m back.
Going on a photography course
I love photography and I’m always trying to improve, which is why I am delighted that my parents booked me onto a photography course in Hamburg as a Christmas present. The course takes place next month and it’s for women only. I was a bit surprised about that at first, but apparently, it’s because men and women have a completely different eye for their subjects. I’m really looking forward to learning more about my camera and trying out new things. I’ve never been to anything like this and it makes me a little nervous that I don’t know anybody attending. But I think this will be a good thing for me. I constantly hopped from seminar to seminar before Amy. I even taught some of them and I think this will not only help me improve my skills and gain some new ones but also give me some of my pre-mummy confidence back.
Musical break to Berlin
If you’ve read the post about my highlights last year, you will know that I love concerts, musical, the theatre - you know, all the good stuff. Well, I’m planning to see many more this year and the first show of the year will be Sister Act in Berlin. Suitably, with my sister who I got the tickets from for Christmas. We’ll be staying in Berlin for two days and I’m really excited about exploring and shopping. It’s been ages that I’ve been to Berlin to see anything other than the airport.
What are you looking forward to in 2017? Have you got any exciting plans yet?
