Amy is a little whirlwind, although sometimes she comes close to a tornado, so being stuck indoors really isn’t for her. She loves running, jumping, climbing, bouncing and the only thing that could stop her from being outside and having fun is being snuggled up on the sofa with a cold.
To make sure that little ones like Amy are getting their all-important daily Vitamin D during the autumn and winter months, Bassetts have brought out Vitamins 3-6 Multivitamins + Vitamin D & Calcium, deliciously soft and chewy pastilles that even the fussiest eater will love because the apricot and peach flavour (others are available) makes them think they’re having a sweet treat.
I was never one to bother with vitamins and thought a good diet and fresh air were enough but if you really do your research, you find out that multivitamins are something that you should really try to incorporate into your child’s daily routine. Amy is now having one pastille of Bassetts Multivitamins with her breakfast and I feel so much better for it.
Did you know that your child gets hardly any vitamin D from the sun during the months of September to April and solely relies on food and drink to get the recommended amount of vitamin D each day? Sounds easy, but believe me, it isn’t. I’ve done the maths and your child would have to eat 16 ounces of tinned tuna or 42 ounces of yoghurt, that’s more than 2.5 pounds of yoghurt, to get their recommended amount of vitamin D every single day! Neither Amy nor I eat which and although we love yoghurt, we don’t love it enough to eat 2.5 pounds of it every day. So we what Public Health England advises and take a daily supplement of vitamin or in Amy’s case Bassetts Multivitamins which do not only contain the right amount of vitamin D but also Calcium and vitamins A, B6, C and E.
Public Health England advise that everyone needs an average daily intake of 10 micrograms of vitamin D to protect their bone and muscle health so consider taking a daily supplement that contains the recommended amount to make sure you and your family can enjoy the colder months knowing that your bodies get what they need grow, develop and stay healthy. We’ve had heaps of fun during half-term and didn’t even have a sniffle whereas most of Amy’s friend picked up a cold just before the holidays started and I’m sure we’ve got to thank Bassetts Multivitamins for that to some degree.
